This Privacy Policy applies to the Subscription Vault (com.androix.subscriptionvault) Android application. Our primary philosophy is "Privacy by Design."
Summary: Your data never leaves your device. We do not use servers, we do not track your identity, and we do not sell your information.
1. Data Collection & Storage
- No Backend Storage: We do not capture or store any of your personal or subscription data on external servers. There is no cloud database associated with this application.
- Local-Only Processing: All data (subscription names, prices, dates, and preferences) is stored locally on your device using an encrypted/private Room database and DataStore.
- No User Accounts: You are not required to sign up, provide an email address, or link any social media profiles to use the App.
2. User Control
As the user, you have 100% control over your data:
- You can modify or delete any entry at any time within the app interface.
- All data is permanently erased if you uninstall the App or manually "Clear Data" in your Android system settings.
3. Third-Party Services
To improve app stability and configuration, we use:
- Firebase Remote Config: Used solely for app configuration (e.g., UI toggles). It does not collect personal subscription information.
- Google Play Services: Necessary for app delivery and updates via the Play Store.
4. Disclaimers & User Responsibility
By using Subscription Vault, you acknowledge the following limitations of a local-only application:
- Payment Responsibility: This app is a tracking tool only. We are not responsible if you miss a payment, fail to renew a subscription, or incur late fees.
- Data Loss: Since we do not have access to your data, we cannot recover it for you. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from:
- Clearing App Cache/Storage in Android settings.
- Uninstalling the App.
- Device theft, damage, or factory resets.
5. Security
We leverage standard Android security protocols to ensure your data is isolated from other apps on your device. However, the security of your information also depends on your device's security settings (biometrics, screen locks, etc.).
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Since we do not collect your contact info, we encourage you to review the "Privacy Policy" link within the App settings periodically.
